Minutes (approved) of regular meeting February 7, 2011

Members present: Rosemary Gabriel, Melina Angelson, Maggi Travis, Seth Kaufman, Buffy Hartmann, Diane Mulvaney and Director, Lisa Richland

Absent: Keith McCamy

The meeting was called to order at  7:05 PM

The minutes of January 3, 2011 were approved on a motion of 1) Angelson, 2) Travis, unanimous.

The bills were ordered paid on motion of 1)Angelson, 2) Kaufman, unanimous. The treasurer’s reports were accepted and filed for audit.

Communications: A thank you note from Jocelyn Ozolins for a holiday gift.  A thank you from Congregation Tifereth Israel for the loan of bridge tables for their Scrabble Tournament. A letter from the Suffolk Cooperative Library System Board encouraging libraries with a calendar fiscal year to work towards a common vote date. A letter from the Weinig Foundation that accompanied a generous check to be used towards literacy programs in the community.

Motion to accept bid from LRM for the relocation of and provision of additional shelving for the collection. 1)Hartmann, 2)Gabriel unanimous.

Meeting adjourned at 7:40 PM on a motion of Angelson, unanimous.
